Do you have organic waste for biogas production?

We make use of organic waste

We use raw materials from the following sources, among others:

  • Agriculture: manure and other organic waste.

  • Food industry: byproducts from food manufacturing and processing.

  • Retail and restaurants: organic waste and food scraps.

  • Waste management and recycling operations: collected and sorted organic materials.

The types of raw materials we can accept depend on their properties and the conditions at each facility.

St1 Biokraft partners with farms, businesses, and other organisations that wish to supply organic waste products to our facilities.

A partnership that stands the test of time

We are seeking long-term partnerships with suppliers of organic raw materials. Together, we review the composition, quantities, and quality of the materials, as well as the logistics for transportation and receipt.

    What happens to the feedstock?

In our biogas plants, organic material is broken down by microorganisms in an oxygen-free environment. This process produces biogas and biofertiliser. The biogas can be used as fuel, and the biofertiliser can return plant nutrients to agriculture.
