    Who are we?

    St1 Biokraft produces and distributes biogas for transportation, maritime, and industry. We operate across the entire biogas value chain, from sourcing organic raw materials to distribution and trading of finished products. St1 Biokraft is a joint venture between the energy company St1 and the private equity and investment firm HitecVision. The company was formed to consolidate and develop biogas production and distribution operations in the Nordic region. In 2024, Biokraft International AB and St1 Nordic Oy's biogas assets were acquired as part of this initiative, and in 2026, St1 Biokraft acquired Danish Bio Commodities (DBC).

    We operate and develop biogas plants, collaborate with suppliers of organic feedstock, and sell biogas to customers in various industries. Our operations include both liquefied biogas (LBG) and compressed biogas (CBG).

    Our 2030 targets

    St1 Biokraft’s goal is to reach an annual production of 3 TWh of biomethane and a sales volume of 6 TWh by 2030. To achieve these goals, we are developing production facilities and distribution solutions in the Nordic region.
