About St1 Biokraft
We are dedicated to developing the biogas landscape in the Nordics, managing the entire biogas value chain from sourcing feedstock to sales and distribution. Our goal is to produce 3 TWh of biomethane and achieve 6 TWh in sales by 2030. We are focusing on heavy transportation, maritime, and industrial applications. To reach these targets, we are investing over EUR 1 billion in biogas production and distribution networks across the Nordic countries.
With a strong asset base, including 18 biogas production and upgrading plants in the Nordics, and a comprehensive logistics company, Ekdalens Biotransporter AB, we are well-equipped to meet our goals. Additionally, we are constructing new facilities in Finland.
Our current biogas and biomethane production capacity is over 1,5 TWh. Our growing network of compressed (CBG) and liquified biogas (LBG) stations, along with bus depot refueling points, and other sales gives a combined biomethane sales of approximately 2,4 TWh. We also own 50% of Suomen Lantakaasu Oy, aiming to produce 1 TWh of liquefied biogas in Finland by 2030.
St1 Biokraft is a joint venture between St1 and HitecVision. This collaboration brings together strong expertise in energy transition, combining the strengths of each partner to create a leading biogas platform in the Nordics.
